Nullamatix.com Gets Several Enhancements

After admiring several of my favorite blogs and hearing a recommendation from my sister, I realized several necessary component were missing from my blog. Almost a full days work and a brew later, two-thirds of the intended updates have been implemented.

Show Top Commentators

This is a great feature that shows who the most active commentators are. In addition, a link to their web site is made. Since commenters receive a free back link, this should encourage more comments. Which webmaster doesn’t enjoy free links? If you’re interested in incorporating this plugin into your blog, check out: http://www.pfadvice.com/wordpress-plugins/show-top-commentators/

Brian’s Threaded Comments

So this particular enhancement required a little more effort, but the results were definitely worth the work. A few CSS hacks here, some php modifications there, and viola! Nullamatix now has threaded comments, thanks to Brian’s Threaded Comments. The collapse/expand image still needs some modifications to blend in the with the page, but other than that, the plugin is fully operational.

Still In The Works: Ajax Comment Functionality

The Ajax comment enhancement was working until Brian’s Threaded Comments was activated. A few more modifications and some hacking is necessary to complete the integration, so stay tuned.

All these new features will hopefully increase usability and enhance functionality, but some thing’s still missing. What would you like to see added to Nullamatix? Share your thoughts and ideas in a comment below.
