Leaked: Standard Operating Procedures for Camp Delta

Camp Delta’s manual outlining standard operating procedures was recently leaked on Wikileaks.org. A direct link to the leaked document is available here: http://www.wikileaks.org/wiki/Gitmo-sop.pdf. Dated March 28th, 2003, this 238 page document appears official. Guantánamo spokesman, Army Lt. Col. Ed Bush, openly claimed the Cuban based prison camps “have evolved significantly since 2003, prompting many SOP changes.”

Like any other military guide, Camp Delta’s standard operating procedures are very detailed. Some of the specific procedures include how to perform cavity searches, deal with hunger strikes, use military trained dogs to intimidate prisoners, and dig a proper Muslim grave. The manual also cites the type of health care permitted based on a prisoner’s level, checklists for comfort items available to prisoners as rewards, and six pages detailing how new detainees are processed.

The International Committee of the Red Cross has expressed concern regarding hidden prisoners. One of the levels mentioned above is No Access, meaning the ICRA is unable to speak to or see detainees.

Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Miller signed the document in 2003, and according to a variety of media sources, Miller is the one responsible for introducing harsh interrogation techniques to the Gitmo facility. Some of his twisted methods involved straining detainees into stressed position with shackles, and the use of dogs to take advantage of what Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez claimed, “an Arab fear of dogs.”

The United States is still in Iraq despite having nothing to do with September 11th, and if you don’t know this already, there were no weapons of mass destruction. Secret torture camps, a war on terror, substantial debt that’s going to prevent me from getting my well deserved social security (why the hell am I still paying it?), when is all this going to end? Did no one else pay attention to Hitler’s tactics in history class? It’s obvious someone did. Take advantage of the people while they’re vulnerable, whether it’s after WWI, or September 11th. Once you’ve got their attention, make them believe you know who’s responsible for the emptiness, the loss, whatever, and stage your attack. Whether it’s a race of Jews, or the ideology of terrorists, it’s the same fucking concept, except you CAN’T destroy terrorists. Either way, killing Jews or killing Terrorists is simply stupid. Anyone that supports this agenda is a terrorist is my book.
